Which ODBC Driver for MSSQL from Linux?

I want to connect to a SQL Server DB from VW on Linux.  Which ODBC
driver is everyone using to do that?  I've currently configured one with
FreeTDS.  The problem I have is a status coming back with -1 and VW's
ODBC EXDI thinking an error happened but there's no error text:

tgagne:/etc/unixODBC cat odbcinst.ini
[FreeTDS]
Description = FreeTDS ODBC Driver
Driver = /opt/freetds/lib/libtdsodbc.so

Is no one talking to MS SQL Server from Linux/VW?

I'd be curious to hear about that too. Also, how is OSX's ODBC? Can you
connect to MSSQL from the Mac easily?
