about Sport on Squeak

Philippe Marschall
Hi

I'm really sorry I have to write this mail but in my experience SPort
is in such a bad state that it doesn't fulfill it's promise of writing
portable Smalltalk code. At least in the Squeak version there seem to
be many methods missing or empty that are present on other dialects.

Context:
I wanted to write a Hyper server adapter for Seaside but I simply gave
up because making Hyper running on Squeak would have required me to
fix SPort on Squeak.

Cheers
Philippe

Janko took on the role of maintainer of Sport for Squeak.  I've not
looked at it for ages.  I understand that Swazoo in Squeak uses Sport,
so I would have expected it to be quite well maintained especially
given the effort Janko is putting into Aida.

Are you perhaps not using the latest version?

Janko, what's your take on this?

All the best,
    Bruce

I'm using Sport-2.031 from 6 September 2007, that's the very latest I
could find.

Cheers
Philippe
