best step after the Walktrough with a lot of exercises

Roelof
Hello,

I hope I can end this tutorial today,

Now I wonder what can be the next logical step.

I have looked at the developers guide but I miss there exercises.

So I found these alternatives :

  - This book :
http://www.onlineprogrammingbooks.com/inside-smalltalk-volume-one/

- this tutorial  :  http://squeak.preeminent.org/tut2007/html/

What do you experts think is the best step.

Or do you have a better alternative where there are a lot of exercises
so I can check if I understand it all.

What helped me a lot when I started with VisualWorks was answering
newbie questions posted here.
It gave me a nice excuse to learn the libraries and had the added
benefit that I would receive corrections and additions - something one
usually does not get when studying solo. Furthermore these excercises
were not academic, questions posted here usually pertain to real-world
situations one encounters when working with VW.

Enjoy!

Thanks,

Im thinking now to do the squeek tutorial but on the Walktrough way.
the tutorial about unit testing can help me a lot.

I think a lot of the gui can be made with it.
The only thing I have to figure out how to make the grid.

Maybe if I have figured all things out I can make a tutorial myself as a
exercise,

Roelof

Jon Paynter-2
When learning a new language or product, the best thing i found was to create a project of my own choosing and then see it through.
Pick something you find interesting and then run with it.
