Has anyone ever used Pier for collaborative documentation?
I realize a wiki is sorta that already, but I'm part of an IETF group that is exploring options at the moment and I wonder if there were any existing examples of Pier being used that way? Thanks.. Yes, for example books are being written using Pier. > I realize a wiki is sorta that already, but I'm part of an IETF group that > is exploring options at the moment and I wonder if there were any existing > examples of Pier being used that way? Probably more, but these are the ones that come to my mind: http://book.seaside.st/ http://book.pharo-project.org/ http://www.themoosebook.org/book/ Lukas -- Lukas Renggli www.lukas-renggli.ch _______________________________________________ Magritte, Pier and Related Tools ... https://www.iam.unibe.ch/mailman/listinfo/smallwiki |

I know there's a latex printer. I assume there's a pdf printer as well? I see mention of a text printer for page components. Does that keep table, etc, formatting in some way, also? IETF document requirements are extremely weird. It would be very kool if Pier could be used to create online versions and then have them print directly into the standard RFC format. a potentially HUGE use for Pier Lawson _______________________________________________ Magritte, Pier and Related Tools ... https://www.iam.unibe.ch/mailman/listinfo/smallwiki |

Very limited, but if you have a specific idea of how to represent the formatting it is very easy to create a new subclass of PRDocumentWriter. > IETF document requirements are extremely weird. Just adding a book component to the menu doesn't seem to do much automatically that I can see. Seems to me that this functionality (and more) would be a useful alternate default for Pier.
