getting ready to summer release of 1.4

EstebanLM
Hi,

Today I finish the changes needed to release next update version of 1.4.
Yes, there are still bugs around.
Yes, there are still things that can be better.

But the purpose of this release is to provide some important fixes (integrated since three months to now) and add enhancements due to community feedback since 1.4 was released. Most important changes are the incorporation of OB, Spotlight and backport of 2.0 Configurations Browser.

Can you download and test, so I can prepare an official release next week?

Best,
Esteban

There seems to be no Freetype in the Mac One Click.

Normal?

Couldn't we have STON in the trusted packages? all tests are green and it is a neat thing to have as a "blessed" package.

The thing feels solid.

I ran: ScriptLoader new cleanUpForProduction

The first time I tried the clean up, I got a debugger on:
   AnObsoleteOBBrowser
So I closed the browser, before trying again.

It worked the second time. The image went from 20.1 MB to 9.2 MB.
There were a few lines in the Transcript:

HeapTest>>testRemoveAllFoundIn(subCollection is shadowed)
HeapTest>>testRemoveAllError(subCollection is shadowed)
HeapTest>>testRemoveAll(subCollection is shadowed)
BagTest>>testCopyNonEmptyWith(element is shadowed)

Re: getting ready to summer release of 1.4

Hi...

Yes, the cleanUpForProduction needs windows closed. Maybe I should force that... but I don't like to force windows closing, that can be dangerous.
Don't worry about the transcript... all that is gone after clean up :)

best,
Esteban

ha, thanks, but it was not me. I just put an effort on grouping the work of all the community, of which I'm a proud member :)

btw... one-click Freetype is restored.

Cheers,

Hi,

Looks really good. Found just one problem so far: Choosing the option "Browse Class Hierarchy" from within the debugger gives an error:

OBSystemBrowserAdaptor(Object)>>doesNotUnderstand: #spawnHierarchyForClass:selector:

Thanks (again), Sean !
You should leave the easy configurations for me, you can do the hard ones.

@Philippe:

I copied metacello configs to the necessary places for 1.3, 1.4 and 2.0
