hostname vs localhost

Bèrto ëd Sèra
Hi all,

after a long headache I came to understand why gst wasn't working on
Fedora 11. It appears that Fedora sets hostname on install, but
forgets to assign it a 127.0.0.1 IP. This leads gst-remote to hang
forever, even swazoo cannot start.

The problem is easily solved by adding your hostname to /etc/hosts and
it's actually a Fedora bug, not a gst problem. I simply thought to
post it, so if anyone googles for it they can find it.

Berto

Uhm, a hang is never a good reaction though...
