Hi I would like the reread the thread on || and pragmas and I have difficulty using the interface of http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Developers-f1294837.html is there a better way to browse the mail archives it? Stef |
A non-alphabetic "||" will always be awkward to search on using any
online service. As Torsten indicated, the best bet is to download and unzip the archives and search locally. So for a challenge I thought I'd try... From http://lists.pharo.org/pipermail/pharo-dev_lists.pharo.org/ downloaded files back to 2014-Aug $ gzip -d * $ grep -n -C 10 \|\| * | grep -i pragma 2015-February.txt-19513-Really interesting discussion. I like pragmas but this is interesting to 2015-February.txt-19516-> non-obvious. Whereas pragmas, because they are in-your-face in the 2015-February.txt-19652-> The good old finder has a pragmas search mode which allows for a bit 2015-February.txt-19653-> of discoverability (pragma users), but it doesn't link to the code 2015-February.txt-19654-> exploiting the pragmas. 2015-February.txt-22227-up my mind and fully appreciate pragmas. 2015-February.txt-23562-(*) i.e. similar to C pragmas Plugging "I like pragmas but this is interesting to" (with quotes) into the search at [1] found [2] [1] http://forum.world.st/ [2] http://forum.world.st/-td4803298i40.html#a4804240 HTH cheers -ben On Sun, Mar 27, 2016 at 6:47 PM, stepharo <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Hi > > I would like the reread the thread on || and pragmas and I have difficulty > using the interface of > http://forum.world.st/Pharo-Smalltalk-Developers-f1294837.html > is there a better way to browse the mail archives it? > > Stef > |
