The correct gci library files can be found in the lib32 directory of the
release ... You might find some pointers here: http://code.google.com/p/glassdb/wiki/GettingStartedWithGLASS#Install_GCI_library_files Dale On 04/07/2011 04:07 AM, Ivan, Liliana wrote: > Hi. > > I installed the GemStone-25439.Linux-x86_64. server and the > GemTools-1.0-beta.8-244x.app pharo one-click gemtools image and when > trying to log in I get the following error: > > Netldi ''gs64ldi'' on host ''rmb-vdv-gemstone.rmb.co.za'' reports the > request '''' failed: > > Requested version level 800, this server is at level 3000' > > Otto suggested I look for client libraries in the server ; but I > searched the tar.gz file and found nothing. > > Can you help? > > Thank you > > LOGO > > > > *LILIANA IVAN > * > Business Technology > > Enterprise Applications > > > Rand Merchant Bank > Telephone +27 112821960 > Mobile +27 828476682 > > http://www.philotechnia.co.za <http://www.philotechnia.co.za/> > > (Rand Merchant Bank, a division of FirstRand Bank Limited, is an > Authorised Financial Services Provider) > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > This e-mail is subject to a disclaimer, available at > > http://www.rmb.co.za/web/elements.nsf/online/disclaimer-communications.html > |

If it is an RMB network problem, you should be able to take an image outside of your network then follow the instructions for creating a "cache repository" (use ConfigurationOfGemTools): http://code.google.com/p/metacello/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_create_a_local_cache_repository_for_a_config? and then bring the directory back behind your firewall and load from the "cache repository" following these instructions: http://code.google.com/p/metacello/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_override_the_repository_for_a_config?
