running pharo on iPad

Stéphane Ducasse
Hi john

do you know if we will be able to install the soft we want on that stuff
        http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
I would love to see pharo running on it and that we could program it.

Stef

Hey I thought you were taking  a break from computers?

Well there are two questions here.

(a) What will Apple legal let us do?

(b) How do you install software, is the App store the only legal way?

In some respects I think the iPad versus NoteBook is that an iPad appears to be a gated community with Apple as the
gate daemon...

Obviously running scratch on this would be cool, same for eToys.   People who have funding to make that happen likely
should drop me some email.  As soon as I can get a hold of the new iPhone/iPad SDK I'll let everyone know feasibility.

yes I have the same impression. People in the lab are buying dell 19 inches (with the same videos than old ibook)
and run os X on it.
