That would be neat actually!

Is there an idiomatic way to invoke the spotter on some object in the inspector?

I am using Spotter all the time but always via Shift-Return and starting with a global search. I seldom drill down in practice, must improve my Spottering habits.

You should use Spotter for that. You can inspect Spotter similar to how you extend an inspector.
