I'm not sure what you're getting at here. There have been print policy formats in TimestampPrintPolicy before Visualworks 7.7. What changed was the internal codes we use for formatting - the ones held in "compiled" print policy formats.
Can you give me a bit clearer idea of what specifically you are having problems with? There are some other enhancements that might help - but I need to understand your situation better first.
