[vw 7.9] Invisible dialog window

[vw 7.9] Invisible dialog window

When we open our system we first open a “file open” dialog. After the file has

been selected, sometimes a choose button dialog will open. On windows 7 this

dialog is invisible. When I select the window icon on the task bar then the dialog

window appears. If a normal window opens instead of the dialog, it appears as

it should.

Any suggestions?

When your VW app starts up, does it open no normal VW window before the dialog? I’ve seen problems if the first window opened is a dialog, because it doesn’t have a parent window, and hence no windowProcess. I know that native dialogs like the File Dialog and Printer dialog also like to have a real window as a parent – e.g. if the Printer dialog doesn’t have a parent, it shows up in an ancient Windows 98 look and feel, whereas with a parent it uses the current Windows widgets.

After I posted this I ran it again, and this time the main window(no dialog) was invisible.
