I just started working with 7.5 at work, doing some refactorings. In
those three days I came to the conclusion that Store currently is too
broken for serious work.
The issues I've seen have been reported here earlier by others:
-packages get marked as altered while they are not.
-the merge tool fails to pick up some changes
When programming in the small this is just an expensive pain in the rear
end, but when doing refactorings that affect multiple packages (like 20+
in my case) this is plainly useless. I now have to do a lot of manual
labor at publishing time which is starting to surpass the amount of work
I'm doing in one iteration. I now publish less often than I wish I would
- just to economize on this extra labor.
Hence my question: is Cincom working on patches for Store and the merge
tool and if so what is the ETA?
