[vw7.9.1] ActiveX component no longer works in VW7.9.1?

Hi all,

I’m porting our application from vw7.7.0 to vw7.9.1, but it appears that an ActiveX component we’re using no longer works in vw 7.9.1. It works in vw7.7.0, 7.7.1, 7.8.0 and 7.8.1 but stops working in vw7.9.0 and 7.9.1.

To reproduce I do this:

-          Take a vanilla image

-          Load the “ActiveX-All” parcel

-          Open the UI Painter

-          Drag an ActiveX component onto the window

-          Enter the “ProgID” and the aspect name

-          Install the canvas & define the aspect

-          Open the window

In vw.7.7.0 - vw7.8.1 this works: it opens the window and shows the ActiveX component:

Starting from vw7.9.0 this no longer works. The window opens but it shows nothing:

Is there something extra that needs to be done to let ActiveX components work again?
