Saving image time (on windows) varies quite a bit depending on the
state of the file-system cache.
Do your testing after load/save exit.
Then take times after that.

Hi,
I’m in the process of
upgrading our application to vw7.9.1 from vw7.7.0, and when
I save an image it takes around 20 seconds to save it,
whereas in vw7.7.0 it only takes 4 seconds.
The image is about 200MB
in size.
Is this normal?
Could it be related to
the bug that was once fixed (don’t remember in which
version) where saving an image on a network drive could
cause unhandled exceptions because a too large buffer size
was used? I don’t remember the exact details but it was
something like that…
If so, can this new
behavior be turned off? Or is there a way to speed it back
up again?
