[vwnc] A connection problem

Ian Jiang
Hi, List

Is there any way that I could use to make the visual smalltalk non-comercial version access the Internet with a Proxy server?

The situation is I am in a local network and need to access the Internet through a Proxy server.

I am looking foward to your kind help, thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Ian Jiang

Ian,

Have a look at the discussion of "Using a Proxy Server" on page 4-22
in the Internet Clients Developer's Guide (doc/NetClientDevGuide.pdf).

The situation is I am in a local network and need to access the Internet through a Proxy server.

In 7.4, once you’ve loaded the HTTP parcel, you can enter proxy settings in System | Settings | Net | HTTP.

In 7.6, you need to load HTTP and the NetConfigTool parcel, and the settings are in System | Settings | Net Client | HTTP | Proxy Server.

The documentation for using the net clients is in docs\NetClientDevGuide.pdf

HTH,

Steve
