[vwnc] [ANN] JNIPort 1.9 available

JNIPort 1.9 is available from the public repository and from the JNIPort

JNIPort is a Smalltalk library which allows Java code to be invoked from
Smalltalk. It acts as a bridge between the world of Smalltalk objects and a
Java Virtual Machine (JVM) where Java code is executing. For more info see

The new version fixes two issues:

- Niels Duineveld discovered that JNIPort could deadlock when finalization
of JNIObjects collides with the allocation of a JNIObject, and sent a bug
fix.

- Dennis Mc Leod encountered an exception during the initialization of a
shared variable when loading the JNIPort parcel in a VisualWorks 7.8
development build. The new parcels can be loaded without problems in VW 7.8
development builds.
