I'm looking for a few good testers. Qualifications:
1) Able to get packages from the Open Repository
2) Running on one MS-Windows platform or another
3) Haven't played with/installed Cairo yet (this is not a strict
requirement, you just need to be able to assert that you don't have a
reachable cairo library elsewhere in your path)
4) Using VW 7.6 or later
What to do:
1) Unzip the attached archive, there's one file in it (cairo.dll).
Place it next to your VisualWorks executable.
2) Load the package CairoGaphics, version '99 + Spike 2"
3) Print/Inspect the following expression in a workspace:
LibCairo libraryVersion
One of two things is expected to happen. Either you get '1.8.8' back.
Or you get some sort of "could not load library" error. If you could
report back to me (don't need to reply to list, just to me is fine)
which of those two you got AND what version/configuration of Windows
you are running, I would much appreciate it.
A second test request may follow, based on a hunch I have. :)
