[vwnc] Managing international Message Catalogs

Mark Pirogovsky-3
Good day to All,

We built multi-locale application, and provided various language
specific message catalogs for Spanish, French, German, etc. languages.

As time went by,  we did redefine some of the visual elements added many
more new labels, buttons, etc.

Now I have a task to reconcile the new version of my application,  with
existing catalogs to see what has been changed and what textual
information was added.

Does anybody know of any tools or maybe even smalltalk scripts to
automate the process?

As usual any pointers or information are greatly appreciated.

Truly,

Mark Pirogovsky

Mark,

There are some UI tools in I18n parcel that show up under Tools menu in
the launcher when you load it. I've never played with them myself, but
they might have something useful in there for your situation.

Regards,

-Boris

I use the tools from Georg Heeg extensively, called L10n. It is under the Contributed -> L10n directory in the Parcel Manager. It has quite a lot of features, and is a great help in separately tackling the multilanguage aspects from your applications.
