[vwnc] ODBC connection to MaxDB on Windows XP 64 Pro

I'm trying to connect thru odbc to a Maxdb running on UBUNTU Linux.  
ObjectStudio 7.1.2.196 is running on Windows XP 64 Pro.  I've created a
Data Source Name, and can connect to the database using ODBCDemo.  
However when creating a new interface, and in the designer-
>controller>External Database , I do not see my DSN that I have created.

Any suggestions ?

ps. The ODBC connection just works fine (including VW ObjectStudio
ODBCDemo)
