[vwnc] Smalltalk-80 or Smalltalk by Example appropriate for core classes?

Conrad Taylor
Hi, I just was wondering, is "Smalltalk-80: The Language" or "Smalltalk by Example" appropriate references for understanding the ANSI compliant core-class in VW?

Thanks in advance,

-Conrad

Michael Lucas-Smith-2
Yes, but you'd probably get a better answer reading BasicLibraries.pdf,
AppDevGuide.pdf, etc in the 'doc' directory.

Dear Conrad,
if you're looking for books to help you master Smalltalk then, just
in case you have not already heard of it, I'll mention Kent Beck's
Smalltalk Best Practice Patterns.

          Yours faithfully
             Niall Ross
