I get frustrated with the need to place the text cursor before
invoking context menu sensitive menus, such as those found in the code
tool.
I sat down and did a quick spike today to make the text editors in VW
behave more like the ones in OSX, as well as many of the new text
edits in Windows products. I published it in the Open Repository as
"TextEditMenusSelectWord" (I know, a step down from my historical
penchant for bizarre tool names, but I was feeling uncreative today).
Curious if others find it useful. As the package comment states, it's
just a prototype/hack. I have a different design in mind for how to do
it properly using Announcements and Assistants.
