Hi,
Just have installed mannually after auto run fails. Some problems are listed as follows: The base tar.gz in ISO is broken and ISO install doesn't work with an error saying invalid volume Best Regards, Jim G _______________________________________________ vwnc mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vwnc |
Jim,
this is odd. I did a 7.7NC install several times yesterday from the current NC ISO file without a hickup on Windows Vista and 7. Which platform did you try to install it on? I presume Windows since you refer to autorun. Which Windows version and which ISO mounting tool did you use? I used Virtual Clone Drive which works fine and is free. Andreas,
I forgot to mention it happens on a virtualboxed Windows XP running on Ubuntu. However if you've no problem with the file then the damaged file might have been caused by a failed downloading. Since I extracted the archives to do a manual install to find baseVisualworks.tar.gz broken and I had to redownload it separately before the install succeeded.
