There have been earlier discussions on this, especially regarding the admin support (temporarily elevating user rights) for example to install or modify a registry key.
My question is: is Vista supported in 7.6? If yes, to what extent? If not: is there info on how and when?

Hello everyone, I am wondering if the following is possible: I need to know if a
given window is being minimized by the user clicking in the minimize button of
said window. Is this possible? I tried checking for “redButtonReleasedEvent” (and
others) but I couldn’t get it to work so far. Any ideas? Just to be clear, this is the button whose release event I am
trying to “catch”: TIA,

Vista is supported in the sense that it runs on Vista, and
if there are problems, you can contact support. We have not added
utilities for Vista-specific operations like that in 7.6.

VW 7.6 is supported on Vista. There are known issues, like the ones
you detail below. They are covered in the Release Notes James Robertson http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/blog/blogView Talk Small and Carry a Big Class Library On Mar 21, 2008, at 7:25 AM, Rob Vens wrote: > There have been earlier discussions on this, especially regarding > the admin support (temporarily elevating user rights) for example to > install or modify a registry key. > My question is: is Vista supported in 7.6? When I try to run vwnt.exe as administrator, I get an error saying "the parameter is incorrect".

Are you trying to start the image from a directory you can't write to?

I was, but the problem persists after making the image and bin directories writable.

Hi Roberto, Check out senders of these methods for
some examples: sendWindowEvents: windowEvent: anEvent from: aWindow Look for #expand/#collapse event types. HTH, Stewart -----Original Message----- Hello everyone, I am wondering if the following is possible: I need to know if a given

Does not make any difference - later in the thread mention is made of Unicode issues, did you read that James? Although I do not have Unicode characters in my login name. Can't get VisualWorks to run under elevated admin rights under Vista, this is becoming a real issue. I am trying to find an escape route for my apps to run under Vista.
