The visual improvement offered by Cairo/Pango is impressive and we have a big chunk of our rewrite done with only a few hours effort. However around 25% of our customers are running on win64 machines. Thus an important issue for us concerns Cairo on win64. Can it run there as a 32 bit app so the current 32 bit Visualworks could still be used on win64 machines. Attendants there said not a problem. I would love to see some screenshots of your improved app if you were willing to share. Thanks for the reply. We have a win 64 machine and we will give it a run in
a few weeks. Hopefully there will be some stuff worth showing also later in the summer. -- Joe Whitesell Red Cedar Technology East Lansing On May 21, 2009, at 1:18 PM, Joseph Whitesell wrote: > > The visual improvement offered by Cairo/Pango is impressive and we > have a > big chunk of our rewrite done with only a few hours effort. > > However around 25% of our customers are running on win64 machines. > Thus an > important issue for us concerns Cairo on win64. It works as-is on my Win XP 64 and I tested it in a Vista 64 VM as well, you shouldn't have any problems. _______________________________________________ vwnc mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vwnc |
