[vwnc] disjoint list selection on Mac using Aragon dataset

Haven't worked on a Mac for a while - but now I do I find I cannot select disjoint list elements in an Aragon dataset.
Normally the command key would work, but not in my dataset. Keeping the apple key pressed has no effect.
Can someone help me out?
