Hello everybody,
We built an application which is deployed on Window as single EXE. The
application has an association with the application file name (
extension) just like MS word does - you double click on the file in the
Explorer and program starts and fie opens. I did implement it via using
DDEML parcel and their example.
Also I had to set the file association with the MS Explorer to use dde.
When I switch to the VW 7.6 the startup association quit working.
Windows gives a bell and pop up a dialog saying "file not found"
However, after application starts up, the DDE connection works and
responds as it should.
Does anybody have any Idea what changed in the VW7.6 startup so it
does not behave the same way as previous versions like 7.3.1, 7.4.1 and
7.5 ?
I remember patching DDEML once in the distant past(to work on 7.1) to
return 1 instead of 0 in one of the DDEML methods, but for the life of
me I can not recall which one was that ....
Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

P.S.as a side note, while this functionality seem very insignificant,
many or our customers have became very upset when it did not work with
the latest release.
