we need some smalltalk help for some updates

smalltalkva
Our medical claims processing software was designed in 1995 using mostly Smalltalk and there are some updates that need to be made to it by the end of the year for revenue purposes.  The application has a basic two tiered architecture.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to find a couple of of consultants to come in and do heads down Smalltalk coding to help meet a key 12/31 deliverable. The positin would be based in Atlanta and we can afford to pay 70-80 hour

The job is pretty stright forward

·         Review the requirements written up by the Business Analyst

·         Develop the solution following the BA’s requirements and the Senior Developer’s design

·         Heads down coding with Visual Age Smalltalk/VA Smalltalk

·         Conduct code performance reviews.

·         Depending on the consultant’s backend abilities, conduct stored procedure coding and straight SQL statements with SQL 2005 and 2008.

Feel free to call me

hi Steve

Have you found anyone to assist you yet?

We maintain a couple of older two-tiered applications, one in VA552 and another we have ported to VA850. The backend for these is Oracle, using Toplink. Quite a lot of hand-crafted sql involved, where Toplink did not do the job.  We have a couple of people who could help, with between 10 - 15 years experience with VA/Smalltalk

We would be interested in helping out, but we would have to work remotely as we are based in Australia.  Let me know if you are interested and I will get our IT manager to call you.

regards
Fiona
