Hi everyone,
this week we will have our second book sprint to hopefully finish the Etoys reference manual. We will start today with a Skype audio chat at 2 pm EST, 11 am PST, 8 pm CET. Please let me know if you want to join the call! We will start with a short review of what is being done already and how to go on from there. By mid-week we will have the first chapters ready for reviewers, an announcement will be sent. When the manual is finished, we can start translations. I already got an offer from Carlos to start Spanish, thank you! If you want to translate in any other language, please let me know. I will arrange with FLOSS people to set up the environment for every language. Also, we need someone who takes care of the manual once it is finished. We have to keep the manual up-to-date, so when something within Etoys changes, the manual has to be updated, and someone has to make sure that this will happen. That doesn't mean that person has to write the text herself, but has to ask someone to do this. Please let me know if you are willing to do this, we can talk about the details. I'm looking forward to work with you this week! Rita_______________________________________________ squeakland mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.squeakland.org/mailman/listinfo/squeakland |
Hi everyone,
We have many people who are volunteering to translate to Haitian Kreyol as well, so the timing couldn't be better! We are starting two pilots today in Cambridge, one with English speakers, one with mostly Haitian Kreyol speakers. Our plan is to arrive in Haiti to begin teaching on March 1st.
