We should now also know the VM version from right clicking the
EXE file (Properties -> Version).
If one uses squeak to develop a windows based webserver app
(Seaside or pier) this version information (vendor) should now also be
displayed by personal firewalls when asking if you give permission
to the executable. Before that it just displayed "squeak.exe" is
requesting permission on port ... telling you that it comes
from an anonymous vendor.
So these few lines make life a little bit easier. Thanks!
