[ANN] 3.9 stable universe released

Today I released the stable 3.9 package universe.  This is a set of
105 packages that have been tested to work together in Squeak 3.9.
There is a preloaded image available here:

This image and package set is a good basis for development if you do
not need to track development versions of Squeak.  The base image has
been vetted by the 3.9 release team, and all of the packages have been
tested to load into that image.  Additionally, if you need packages
not in the initial list, you can set up your own universes server to
augment the stable 3.9 universe with your own extensions.


Now it's time to think about the 3.10 package universe.  Let's develop
this next one in parallel to the development of the core image.

Hi,

I downloaded the zip file but I got an error which states that the zip file
is "invalid or corrupted." I tried to unzip the file in Win98, WinXP, and
even in a "clean" Squeak 3.9-7067 image(using the File List) without
success. In that image, the debugger stated that it "can't find EOCD
position".

I have the same issues with the prepackaged 3.7 universe zipped file as
well.

Are the zipped files broken or do I need to do some extra steps to unzip
those files?

Never mind, it appears to be the fault of a download program I'm using. I
used the other download program and I was able to unzip the file. I do not
understand why the program could not download specifically those files
properly. It worked for everything else that I downloaded.
