Hi!
I would like to announce SmallDEVS - a DEVS modeling and simulation framework for Smalltalk. You can get more info at: www.fit.vutbr.cz/~janousek/SmallDEVS. This tool is mainly for educational and *experimental* purposes (don't expect an industry ready tool) and introduces a new perspective on DEVS modeling and simulation methodology, namely prototype-based modeling. Any comment, bugreports, etc. are welcomed :-) Cheers, Elod |
Hi Elod,
This is the cool stuff I'm searching for. Great work. Many thanks. Thanks, I'm glad somebody finds use of it. Please send any feedback on
me including bug reporting, feature request and so on. Unfortunately, our documentation is very poor, the main idea is documented on the website and some tutorial is in the videos. It is loadable into Squeak 3.9, but for some reasons, some context menus do not work there, so for now it is usable in 3.8.1. If you manage to do any useful model in it and you are willing to publish it, please let me know. Elod > Hi Elod, > > This is the cool stuff I'm searching for. > Great work. Any comment, bugreports, > etc. are welcomed :-) Thank you. This is very nice. I love the user interface. And thanks for making a pre-built image available, it makes things so easy. I have attached a couple of fileouts which enable Shout (if installed) for the method editors. Feel free to use them in any way you see fit. The videos were made with ffdshow from K-Lite Codec Pack. It should be
encoded with MPEG-4 in XVID. Unfortunately, I never worked under Mac OS X, so I don't know, if this is a good or bad news for you. MPlayer should play them without any problem. You can look at http://www.mplayerhq.hu. It is a version for Mac OS too. I see .avi format videos at <http://www.fit.vutbr.cz/~janousek/SmallDEVS>.
If you install Flip4Mac WMV components <http://www.flip4mac.com/> and enable it from System Preferences after you install, the videos get displayed with Quicktime ok.
