Dale Henrichs
Nicolas,

Very nice, but the site appears to be down now? I was pushing some mcz
files up to the Metacello project ... I hope I didn't break it:)

I know, but it is an issue with the usability and I thought the authors should know about it :)
Maybe add it as a bug in the SmalltalkHub's issue tracker :)

Slick interface and cool source browser!

Though:
- no ssh
- password in plaintext when you do view source on the dashboard...

I'd suggest focusing a bit on security before declaring it out of alpha :)

It works fine here. Weird.
I'll check if something strange happened.

And if it wasn't clear, by that I mean; don't just hide it from the
source, don't store the password in a reversable format on the server at
all :)

yes, all passwords will be hashed. That's on my todo list too :)

I don't have a personal user account for Monticello.
For git I do, and yes, I very much want to use ssh with that.

Great.

Another question: Should we move the projects now, or will they most likely be deleted before the final release?

No, you should wait. 2 reasons:
1. I just found a bug in the db connection (Dale it should be up now ;)
2. I can't assure you that the db won't be deleted

Hi guys. This is awesome work. Everybody have already said all the good things, so I will just comment the little problems I saw:

- It would be cool to put title / logo in the tabs of the browser. Sorry, I don't know how this is called in the web terminology.

- Overlapping in the "search" and "Create a new account" or "Create a new project". Using latest Firefox on Mac OS.

- Only MIT as default license

- It would be cool to define own labels in the issue tracker

Thanks a lot for this great work. AWESOME.

Yep, it's back ... I'll wait a day or two and then start the push again
... I just wanted to see if the basic push (MetacelloBrowser archive
version) would work against SmalltalkHub...

Yes, it should, if it wasn't for this bug.
It has to be tested anyway :)

Re: [squeak-dev] Re: [ANN] SmalltalkHub demo online

Mariano Martinez Peck
I forgot...something else I would love to have for the new squeaksource is a ConfigurationOfSmalltalkHub (or similar)
so that everybody can set up their own private monticello server with a SmalltalkHub look and feel. This is REALLY important for companies and business (they all run they own svn/cvs/etc server).
Usually, prepare an image and make it work with squeaksource,is complicated.

But I see that the SmalltalkHub is commited in the same SmalltalkHub so I think it should be easy to get that, shouldn't it ?

Cheers

Mariano
