[ANN][Squeak-dev Image] Version 24

Damien Cassou-3
Squeak-dev image is an image made for squeak developers.

Changes in this version:
------------------------

- Based on Squeak3.9-7061
- Fixed version for Shout
- All included packages have been updated

Future work:
------------

- Work on a system to ease installation of non installed-by-default
packages (only the ones in the wiki)
- Think about inclusion or preparation of DuoSystemBrowser and DebugReport

Please tell me what is your experience with this version. Also fill the
wiki :

http://damiencassou.seasidehosting.st/seaside/pier

For developers who owns packages in the image, please correct the bugs
in this page and publish again. Tell me when it is done so that I can
update the image.

Re: [ANN][Squeak-dev Image] Version 24

Hi Damien,
Thanks for this new version.

I tried to turn off the eCompletion preference for smart characters, but the
preference was missing. After some further investigation, I noticed that,
ECompletion-bar.70 is installed. But the most recent version on squeakSource is
ECompletion-bar.83.
The configuration specifies...
    addSqueakSourcePackage: 'ECompletion' directory: 'eCompletion';

Does this indicate a problem?
I am curious as to how the loader decides which version of a package to load?
Cheers,
Andy

I think so.

Have a look at the class DEVMonticelloPackage (or something like this).

Bye
