Hello, Happy to announce that from now Krestianstvo SDK is running on the new Cog VM (Windows Vista, Mac OS X 10.6, Linux Ubuntu 10.x are tested).
Also the new graphical user interface was introduced, including russian and english versions. Island to island connection through local network is now possible and works just from the main window.
OSC features now work properly and more. Download here: http://www.krestianstvo.ru/sdk/Krestianstvo1.1.zip

Sorry to disappoint really early on in the piece, but it simply refuses to work on my machine, croaks with "Illegal Instruction", and as yet, I've no idea why.

'Switch to English' in 'appearance' menu does not bring English labels
for (at least) menu or window titles, i.e. World menu, Appearance menu, Browser...so for a non-Russian reader it is difficult to explore. Hope it helps Bye Enrico On Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 03:29, Nikolay Suslov <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hello, > Happy to announce that from now Krestianstvo SDK is running on the new Cog > VM (Windows Vista, Mac OS X 10.6, Linux Ubuntu 10.x are tested). > Also the new graphical user interface was introduced, including russian and > english versions. > Island to island connection through local network is now possible and works > just from the main window. > OSC features now work properly and more. > Download here: http://www.krestianstvo.ru/sdk/Krestianstvo1.1.zip > Introduction video to the features of SDK: http://vimeo.com/14910620 > Best regards, > Nikolay Suslov > > > > > > -- Enrico Spinielli "Do Androids dream of electric sheep?"— Philip K. Enrico, Yes, thanks for indication, sorry for that. I will check that right now, and you could easily get English labels back from update stream. However, now you could run the Krestianstvo space with English UI and work in Squeak environment using 'hot keys'.

I have just uploaded the fix for the English language in the World menu. Please update the image with "Update system" button (after pressing "English" in the World). Menu will be on English by default, after pressing on "English". This functionality is not connected with the LanguageEnvironment logic, so you needn't to change locale (by default it is still remain Russian).

Whew, Nikolay! That is really fantastic. The video production is as
impressive-looking as the SDK. The dance mix got me going, who is the composer? Congratulations. - Chris On Sun, Sep 12, 2010 at 8:29 PM, Nikolay Suslov <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hello, > Happy to announce that from now Krestianstvo SDK is running on the new Cog > VM (Windows Vista, Mac OS X 10.6, Linux Ubuntu 10.x are tested). > Also the new graphical user interface was introduced, including russian and > english versions. > Island to island connection through local network is now possible and works > just from the main window. > OSC features now work properly and more. > Download here: http://www.krestianstvo.ru/sdk/Krestianstvo1.1.zip > Introduction video to the features of SDK: http://vimeo.com/14910620 > Best regards, > Nikolay Suslov > > > > > > |
Thanks Chris!
Oh, music.. I am a happy owner of Ableton Live 8 and Max For Live (Max/MSP/Jitter), so music is taken from one of the famous Live music maker: Tom Cosm (http://www.cosm.co.nz/). Krestianstvo through OSC - M4L could directly communicate with Live sets... so, it could easily become a VJ app by programming visuals just in Smalltalk.
