Hi,
I have noticed that there is a recrudescent integration of Google 3D
warehouse in 3D related programs (like modelers) ; as of now, no
direct interaction with a virtual world (except google earth:
http://earth.google.com/intl/en/3d.html ) has been, as far as i know,
has been created.
Adobe Photoshop CS3 (!) :

Concerning croquet, i was wondering if the concept had ever been
investigated to store squeak serialized objects + metadata in a
virtual library, in a similar way to google 3D warehouse ? The library
could be naturally accessed/browsed within opencroquet's features:
send a request, and display results in a dynamically-generated scene
(on demand island) using a portal (ip adress pointing towards the
objects server).
If you read here:
http://forum.sketchup.com/showthread.php?t=71111"[...] SKP format is very closed format [...] and it is also much
harder to parse/write than Collada."
If i'm not mistaken, the 3D warehouse stores skp files...Does it mean
that the beginning of a 3D ecosystem will start on proprietary bases ?
Regards
Florent
