Is anyone interested in forming an IRC channel on Freenode for
development and discussion? I popped into #redline-st thinking to ask James or Sean a quick question and was shocked to find the channel didn't exist yet. I'd enjoy it being open since it'd give me a chance to ask more experienced Smalltalkers questions while I work on some of the runtime implementation in coming weeks. -- Steven! That would be great - and please can you let others know how to connect to it?

Merged and live. It's very lonely in the 'redline-st' channel right now. If you want to contribute more to this... here is the general shorter term idea:
Change that listing to 'IRC' Have a /contribute/index.html that as a list of each of the items with a blurb and more info. Each listing can link like /contribute/#irc etc

Hi,
maybe it would be a good idea to have special times for irc-meetings, e.g. twice a week, on Tuesday and Sunday from 19:30 to 22:30 if i remeber correctly the amber guys do it this way. regards, Stefan Am 18. I think we might be a bit more geographically distributed.
Btw in case anyone missed it... #redline-st on freenode exists now. I am such a proud proud father.

Yes they do. You will eventually get invites. I'm not sure of the exact timeframe.

It is like Pay It Forward - only enjoyable.
