Hi,
since last night (GMT+1) I can not move. If I try to use mouse or key to move an error "UndefinedObject" in TObjectID>>initialize cames up. Sometimes, one key press work, sometimes not. Yesterday it worked fine.... Regards Hans |
Thanks for the report.
I gather you're saying that you can join the Collaborative, and even rotate sideways, but not move front, back or sideways. It looks like there's a conflict between U.Minnesota's "teleport" utilities and the KAT (which you're using). Someone has used the "Connect to Another World" stuff to create a portal to (in this case) the electronic drum kit world. ("Jam Tomorrow", Markus?) I don't think it was a problem for the person who did this, but it created a problem for someone who came along later. (you.) I confess I'm not completely sure how the teleport stuff is supposed to work, and I need to look at this some more. In the mean time, I've reset the initial world and the world that the portal was to. Until there's a fix, please don't use the teleport utilities. Hi,
Ok. Thanks for looking at. But one correction. Even rotation does not work. Any kind of movement fails when this effect occurs. Now (obvioulsy after your reset) all works again. But you are right, I walked heavily between portals before this effect came up. And I looked at the electronic drum kit world, that is true. The portals that are there now are fine. You can use them all you like.
Also fine are portals created by New->Portal to here. (Or at least, I think it should be fine.) The stuff in question is Tools->Connect to Another World. Hans N Beck wrote: > Hi, > > Ok. Updating your Croquet image to the latest Wisconsin package will now shield you
from this particular problem. Howard Stearns wrote: > The portals that are there now are fine. You can use them all you like. > Also fine are portals created by New->Portal to here.
