Cannot Initialize OpenGL

Hello!

The problem that I am having is that when I try to start one of the demo/worlds, as the world is initializing (the red box with "waiting for connection"), I get a pop-up error that says "Error:Error:  Cannot Initialize OpenGL".  I have the libGL.so and libopenal.so files in place. Everything else in the demo seems to work fine.

Do I need a special driver for X?

I am running Ubuntu Dapper with an integrated Intel driver on my laptop with associated video driver. Oh, and other OpenGL apps, say glxgears run fine.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
