This is extremely nasty!
I need instructions on how to manually shorten a changes file. I cannot do anything like condenseChanges because of errors with the Date class right now. I cannot fix the errors because I cannot make more changes because it insists on logging them. Efforts to manually shorten the changes file so far have rendered the image useless. Help! |

Once the limit is reached, it is already too late for the patch of Klaus. You have to load it before you load the code you modify. Philippe |

No, I am talking about a 3.7 variant.
I have a recently saved version that I can work with a little - however condenseChanges fails trying to read the class comment for ImageMorph. Apparently, the bit that records the font size style isn't what the reader expects. :-/ I think it would be useful if the image began to nag you when you were down to your last couple megabytes. I had no idea there was such a limit or that I was close to it. I also think I'm going to be writing code that can read a changes file and recover changes from it unless someone can point me to such a utility already. -Todd Blanchard On Dec 10, 2006, at 3:13 AM, Edgar J. Yann Monclair --- [hidden email] FileList , select your change file, you have options like recent changes. Then you can load the changes one by one :) Yann Quoting Todd Blanchard <[hidden email]>: > No, I am talking about a 3.7 variant. > I have a recently saved version that I can work with a little - > however condenseChanges fails trying to read the class comment for > ImageMorph. I think we established that a large part of the problem with changes
file size in practise was that somewhere a mistake got into the system (See list messages "Re: 3.9-7061 showstopper bug " around mid Oct 06, but I can't actually get any hits via the mailing list search nor google) that adds far too much to the changes file when a do it is done from a workspace. tim -- tim Rowledge; [hidden email]; http://www.rowledge.org/tim Useful random insult:- Puts a finger in his ear so the draft through his head isn't annoying. |
