Closing bugs in Mantis (was Re: [squeak-dev] Shout)

Casey Ransberger
So loading Shout.3.15-damiencassou.73.mcz (which I got from squeaksource) into my image makes the 'color print' option work again. I have this filed, but I have no idea how to resolve it:

Does the filer not automatically have permission to resolve his or her own bug in Mantis?

... although I don't use Shout for workspaces, which I tend to use a lot to display arbitrary texts. so I guess I would want a way to have workspace display be plain by default if Shout was to be part of the core.

The reporter of an issue can 'close' an issue but currently not resolve
it.  The idea here is that if the reporter realizes they were mistaken,
or the report was a duplication, that allows the reporter to clean up
after themselves.  But the rest of the resolution process is internal
policy and the average reporter cannot be expected to know what it is.
You should simply add a comment stating your opinion that the issue is
now handled and how it was handled.  Then a developer can evaluate and
handle appropriately.
