Cog VM on Windows

Hi

has anyone tried the latest build of the Cog VM from http://www.mirandabanda.org/files/Cog/VM/VM.r2316/ on Windows? A fresh trunk image from ftp.squeak.org/trunk loads for me on MacOS Cog and Linux Cog builds, on Windows I get an "Image file read problem (0 out of 4 bytes read)". Any hints? Are there builds of the Cog VM known to work which I can try?

I use it every day, it works fine.

Hi Tim,

I have no problems running the VM on a trunk image. here are the checksums of each file:

mcstalkerxp.cygwinbuild$ cksum ../cogwin/*

3250441725 1356792 ../cogwin/Croquet.exe

Hi Eliot

Okay, I've tracked this down. The problem was having CaseSensitiveFileMode enabled in the INI file. Once I disable it, the image opens fine.

The reason I wanted to enable this is, we give the image to students (in an app bundle, with both windows and linux vm in the top-level folder) who are new to Squeak and in the past it has often led to confusion that Squeak would be case-sensitive on some platforms and not on others. I guess I'll just have to tell them :)
