You might try to see if there isn't some way of updating your video
driver without updating the kernel and avoid some fees there from that
non-open-source wanker Jobs. Since I was one of his first customers
while they were still in their garage days, I can freely dump on him. :)

Or, if all else fails, install mesaGL to get openGL.so.1.2 for version
2. If you don't have linux also installed then you're still basically
running BSD-UNIX I believe. Therein may lie your technological
salvation. You might re-check and find that you have 1.4 openGLU which
would be pretty normal. That's what I have. Ric
