Darius Clarke
Darius' notes from the meeting.

Ad hoc meetings from distance.
Static scenes.
Fidgeting loops needed.

Not used for education. No simulations or learning by construction.

Liz:
Peter on vacation and sick for 3 weeks. More skelital animations.
Finishing up our class.
Things being too slow, mostly the getting around is slow.
Mostly the graphics load.
Putting together a movie of the students.
ELI conference paper accepted.
20% not on labs couldn't run it.
Mostly Vista users. 3 year old macs.
Arm swinging at a cost.
Underpowered graphics cards.
Use to meet in groups but never did that, just went into space and expected people to be there. Needed one big space for people to bump into each other. Just not use to it yet. Facebook is not real time interaction.

Craig:
John Dougan message. Profiling not working well in Croquet. Trying to fix it.
Not much going on and trying to do work in forums. Having trouble getting to development access.

Mark:
How forums can be made inter-operable with Croquet (which is very different to what Hedgehog replicates.

There's a contract for normal development access. Not sure what the holdup is.

Dave:
Making some good models for public use.

Mark:
Move Croquet host from Minn. to Duke. Moving DNS links. Easier to post things and keep it update.
EduCause, meet with SMARTboard people. Finger drawing is really charming. We need to be able to do things with multi touch because of the need for 3 button mouse.
If they get one, local folks at Duke the want to add a new interface.
Doesn't do well without such support.
Renaissance computing collaborative. Joining to NSF proposals. Interested to use Croquet to be included.
