We get back onto our regularly scheduled time for the bi-weekly Croquet
technical conference calls continue tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 7) at 2:30 EDT = 1:30 CDT = 11:30 PDT We will be meeting using a QWAQ forums space which means you need an account to participate - e-mail me if you need an account. draft agenda - let me know if there are items to add 1.) report on what people are working on - update from David Faught and Peter Moore on generalizing the avatar work from Minnesota - others? 2.) End-user scripting language discussion - hopefully David Smith can join us 3.) SSL support for accessing web services and secure jabber servers - the current Jabber IM client in croquet does not work over SSL encrypted sessions - is anyone doing work to integrate the squeak crypto teams SSL support into croquet? Please be advised that you will need to upgrade to the 1.1.9 client
since we upgraded the servers and 1.0.x clients no longer work with the latest server version. Cheers, - Andreas Mark P. Well, that answers one question!! After a brief hiatus, I updated darn near 50 packages after I did a new install of Fedora 7 first. Then it refused to work, so I did the updates to Croquet. Still didn't connect demos, even locally. Now, I know. <grins> Ric -- ================================================ My father, Victor Moore (Vic) used to say: "There are two Great Sins in the world... ..the Sin of Ignorance, and the Sin of Stupidity. Would it be possible to prepare minutes of today's conference? That
would be most helpful. Thanks a lot, Marcus Lunzenauer Mark P.
