Perhaps it's just the javascript that's malfunctioning? It's supposed to detect if the plugin is installed but maybe that is not working? On 03.06.2009, at 21:03, Rita Freudenberg wrote:

I guess other possibility would be ...
Staff to install will be decided by only target operating system. Current installer don't care about IE version. So legacy plugin was installed to his XP box and that might be incompatible with IE8... I will try to reproduce. /Korakurider p.s. If there is problem please forward this to squeak-dev (I am not subscribing). Thanks for the help everyone.
I'll just wait for the new installer and try again later. I could reproduce the problem. Both are wrong guess :-) This is caused by IE8's "ActiveX opt-in feature"; ActiveX controls in page of non-trusted zone (in Internet settings) needs to be approved. see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250471.aspx I filled http://tracker.squeakland.org/browse/SQ-244 /Korakurider On Thu, Jun 4, 2009 at 2:39 PM, Korakurider<[hidden email]> wrote: > I guess other possibility would be ... > Staff to install will be decided by only target operating system. > Current installer don't care about IE version. > So legacy plugin was installed to his XP box and that might be > incompatible with IE8... > I will try to reproduce. > > /Korakurider > p.s.
