List/subscription options

Can someone tell me if there are list/subscription option that I am
overlooking?  Other lists prefix the subject line with the list
allowing a simple means to identify posts, but I cannot seem to find
anything like that.  Thanks.

I sort mailing lists by using the List-Id header. All mailman
mailing lists have it. Otherwise, I use the To header.

I filter emails based on the To or Cc field (I use Apple Mail.app). I  
move the emails to a folder, one folder per mailing list.
This makes me think I have way too many folders...

list prefix are used for announcements [ANN] , or off topic threads  
[OT] ...
