Mac OS dylib vs bundle

John (or anyone else who cares to comment) -- Just out of curiosity,  
why are vm plugins on Mac OS built as bundles instead of dynamic  
libraries (.dylib)?

Historical reasons since early 10.0 versions of carbon code only let  
you build bundles.
