Mac OSProcess using Ian's Unix VMs (ppc and x86).

Joshua Gargus-2
Hi,

I spent some time last night trying to get some code working with
OSProcess on x86 and ppc macintoshes.

I started with an x86 version of Ian's pre-packaged 3.9-8 VM.
OSProcess worked out of the box (at least for my simple purposes),
and I tried using the UnixOSProcessPlugin with one of John's carbon
VMs.  Hooray, it works!

Heartened, I tried Ian's ppc version on my Powerbook.  Unfortunately,
it didn't work at all; the plugin wasn't even properly detected and
loaded (this was using Ian's VM, not sticking the plugin where John's
VM could find it).

Has anyone successfully used OSProcess on a PPC macintosh?  If so,
I'd appreciate any help that you can provide.

Thanks,
Josh

It works for me (e.g., "UnixProcess catFromFileToFiles" dumps a copy
of /etc/hosts in /tmp) but I don't know if I'll be able to help since
I didn't do anything to make it work.  I just loaded OSProcess from
SqueakMap and started using it.

3.7-7 is the one I'm using.  I have the source and a .dmg if Ian's site doesn't.

HTH,
Steve
