Hello,
I posted an update of a video (http://users.telenet.be/michel.tilman/iPadST/Browser.mp4) showing an embryo of a mini ST browser on an iPad simulator. The application queries a Smalltalk server. I am not fanatical about the iPad (and I obviously prefer coding in Smalltalk), but for the moment the simulator is about the best I have. (I tried the Android simulator a couple of times, but compared to the iPad's it is very rough and slow, and it currently does not reach the same resolution I think). My main goal right is to get some experience with (Smalltalk environments for) such devices. as ESUG I do not see the point to have other languages.
Then for a tablet use is not necessary limited to the dynabook vision. Maybe get One Laptop Per Child involved. The more people who are involved, the more Apple will feel left out. > > Hello again, > > Do we continue to explore this as a 'Dynabook Contest' project? > Rule 1 : all programming tools are allowed. > > Goal : promotion of ideas, technologies and applications > for Dynabooks/tablets.
